2010-08-18 We have a great article on the making of one of our songs in the august issue of the german magazine "Sound & Recording". Lots of info on field-recording, sampling and on studio-nerd-stuff... Still interested in reading it? Then click here. There is also great new project with accordionist Krzystof Dobrek, singer Agnes Heginger, "woodwindist" Georg Gratzer and my favourite rhythm section (Christian Wendt and Jörg Haberl). We already played four great shows and there is more to come in spring next year! Looking forward....
2010-06-05 We have been at Willi Resetarits's radio show called "Trost & Rat" and played a few songs live on air. It's has been a really nice talking to Willi and natural scientist Dr. Peter Iwaniewisz about music, the wide variety of the "ficus"-trees, the crazy things happening in the gulf region and about Willi's plans to save the world. 2009-12-09 2009 is almost over! But it has been a good year... not for the musicbusiness itself but let's not get into that... anyway, a few projects are getting finished: - The new album with Marina Zettl is at the mastering studio. Hurray!
- I recorded a live show of BoaBoa at "Theater am Spittelberg" which will be released on DVD. There are already parts of it on Agnes Hegingers website. Have a look, I think it turned out to be really funny!
- The new CD by Nim Sofyan will be presented at Porgy&Bess in Vienna at the 8th of January, 2010 |

2009-10-01 7 Songs finished for the new Nim Sofyan Album and another date coming up by the end of october. For the curious: The first preview tracks are already up on Myspace or you may as well just have a look at their website here. |
Summers almost gone... as the Doors used to say or sing or so... Time to go back to the Studio and finish some new tunes! And that's what we did: You can find a new tune in the Media-section that is part of the new Marina Zettl/Thomas Mauerhofer CD which will be titled "Fikus". We already recorded a lot of material with mulitinstrumentalist Christian Bakanic, Oliver Steger and Ivory Baker doing the human Beatbox! You can also have a look at some photos from a photosession that we did for the CD-cover.

Beefolk played a great concert with their new show "Opera Buffa in five Microscences". I mixed parts of the show for some videos for promotional use and also for youtube. The trailer is already online.

Lot's of work at the moment which is good! I added some new photos of a weird gig with Lofi-Bohéme, a recording session for Bernhard Wittgrubers Blumart (look at that beautiful old Ludwig Drumset!) and a project with missmister for AKG's YouTube Channel. They performed one of their songs demonstrating the new range of Perception Series Microphones. I think the video will we out around September or October.
